Robyn Parker Textiles.

I'm a 21 year old textiles student (wishing i could stay 21 a lot longer!) studying textiles design at Falmouth University. In my third year i specialize in mixed media, however print is often featured in my work. I love the drawing side as much as the textiles and when i leave would love to work in an area that combined the two equally. I love Falmouth however will be moving back to Essex when i finish Uni. Hope you enjoy this blog as much as i love creating the work. :)

Just a quick sketch of my boyfriends daughter….trying to get better using pencil as i’m so used to working in biro…love biro as i do, think it’s easier to draw portrait in pencil.

Created this using the laser cutter..on to ivory leather (for fashion) however i was silly enough to engrave onto the wrong side…so i have to redo it but with this one i’ve just looked at placement and considered how i will embellish it…not sure how to have it…as the top of a dress with a collar or coming up…shown both in my photos. I think i prefer it coming up however this means the lillies are facing the wrong way so will have to edit them.

Beading sample (really messy) will be neatened up a hell of a lot for a final sample. also worried it’s to blingy, cant decide so i might decide at easter if i want to incorporate something similar into a final sample.
